Apple Hand Pies

Here’s a quick recipe to get you into the Fall spirit with as little effort as possible. 20 minutes and 2 ingredients is all you need to get the perfect Instagram worthy fall treat that also taste delicious. Let’s get into it!


What You’ll Need:


•One can of Apple Pie Filling

•One Roll of Puff Pastry


Direction:


-Thaw your puff pastry according to the box.


-Preheat your oven to 425F or whatever the puff pastry box suggests.


-Cut out your pumpkin shapes and faces. I used a cookie cutter but you can easily freehand these as well. pro tip: cut out your designs while the dough is still a little cold. It’ll be much easier. Be sure to only make faces for half of the pumpkins the others ones will be the bottoms.


-Add filling to your solid pumpkins then carefully overlay your faces on top. Use a fork to seal down the edges. pro tip: make your pumpkins mouths small because they’ll stretch when you overlay them. Now if you want to get fancy you can give them a little egg wash and hit em with some sugar and cinnamon.


-Put the pies into the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes. Keep an eye on them at around 15. You’re looking for browned edges.


-Pull them out. Let them cool and enjoy!


These are perfect for kids Halloween parties, work parties, or really any Fall event that calls for something that looks and tastes good without having to do too much. Or just sit at home as enjoy these with some vanilla ice cream and a coffee. That’s the beauty of them they are so versatile!
